OK, but not as good as Carnal Harvest

I got this book immediately after finishing Carnal Harvest, which also features Brent and Joe. Maybe it's because I enjoyed the short story nature of Carnal Harvest, but for some reason, Carnal Compromise fell a little flat for me. Brent, Joe and AJ (or Joe and AJ anyway) seemed to have too many baggage issues, which I understand were written in for plot purposes and to help create some angst and emotional connection between the characters. Nevertheless, I just didn't find Joe to be very likeable. And I didn't find it believeable that AJ would just suddenly embarge on a menage relationship the way she did.
The three characters visited Hake and Mandy in this story, and that visit left me cold. I think the purpose was to show how open Hake's and Mandy's relationshp was, but it actually left me thinking that they were growing further apart.

Brent Anderson runs a farming operation. Brent and his crew travel from place to place completing specialty farming jobs. Things are getting a little cramped in the trailer since AJ Pender joined the crew. Actually, to tell the truth, the sexual tension was already pretty strong between Brent and his best friend, Joe, before AJ arrived, but now that the sexy siren has come aboard the sexual tension is downright painful.
Joe has been trying to get in Brent's pants for years. He constantly bates him but Brent has always refused his overt advances. Then the beautiful AJ joined their farming crew and all he can think of is having them both. However, Joe isn't interest in anything permanent. He's cool with having sex with his best friend and the new girl but he doesn't want a relationship.
AJ Pender didn't know what she was getting herself into when she joined Brent Anderson's crew. It's hard enough being a woman in a male dominated field but to have a crush on your gay boss and his boyfriend, well, that is just downright stupid on her part.
When the heat becomes too much for these three, passion ignites an insane blaze of sexual fire. But will their fierce connection be enough to keep them together or will their past doubts and intense hurts have them running for the nearest cover?
Carnal Compromise is a vivacious, hot-as-hell romance. If you're not careful these three will leave you with third degree burns from flipping the pages. I like all three characters but Joe is a standout because of his complex nature and his secrets. His secrets explain a lot about his attitude and behavior throughout Carnal Compromise. I would have liked to learn his secrets sooner so I wouldn't have felt the need to throw something at him so often. AJ is a fiery woman who has never known anything to be easy, and her relationship with Brent and Joe is no exception. AJ has serious self confidence issues and I love that it is addressed in a great way. I found Brent to be adorable. He knows what he wants but is afraid of what will happen when he gets it. Well, he definitely finds out! Carnal Compromise is sinfully delicious and hauntingly humorous. Robin L. Rotham walks all over hot button issues and delivers a Carnal Compromise you won't soon forget.

Better than the first book!

This is the story of Joe, Brent and AJ. Joe and Brent own a roaming ranch hand company and have just hired on AJ. All three are sharing an RV as they move from one job site to the other and trying to deny the passion between them. After being caught pleasuring herself by the men, there is no more denial and things get heated.
But nothing is easy with these three and their relationship is quickly complicated by denied feelings and emotions. When everything is finally laid out, can they make this unconventional relationship work??
First off, let me say that I don't usually right full reviews for Erotic stories...they are usually short with not much content so I don't feel like I have much to say but this story was great so I just had to write this.
While this story is off the charts hot, it also has great character development and a wonderful overall story ark. You are introduced to Joe and Brent in the first book in this series which was so short I almost didn't read this one but I am so glad I did. I should give a warning at this point...this book is not for the faint of heart. It contains several m/m, m/m/f and f/f graphic sex scenes...they fit well with the story but if this isn't for you, you probably won't like this story.

POV: jumps around between the three but is easy to follow
Quick hook or slow starter? 5 (I was hooked from the first chapter)

Passion/Heat level: 5 (the sex scenes in this story are graphic and hot...burn up the pages)
Angst/Heartbreak: 4 (a little but nothing too crazy)
Cliffhanger?: No but I wish there was another book with these three!!
Overall, I really really liked it and look forward to reading more from this author.
